Davidson is a great place to start a business, large or small, in the heart of a growing and influential metropolitan region. It has small-town character but is near lakefront recreation and large-city amenities. The Town of Davidson officially came into being in 1891. Previously, it was incorporated as the Town of Davidson College in 1879, and before it was simply referred to as Davidson College. The college, the town's principal employer, continues to have a strong influence in the community. It is recognized as one of the leading four-year liberal arts institutions in the country. </font><br /></font><a href="http://maps.yahoo.com/py/maps.py?multipleCityState=Davidson,%2BNC&Get%A0Map=Get%2BMap&BFCat=&Pyt=Tmap&newFL=Use%2BAddress%2BBelow&addr=&csz=Davidson,%2BNC&country=us" target="_blank"><br /><font style="color: #0000ff" face="Arial" color="#0000ff" size="2"><u>Davidson Map</u></font></a><br /><font style="color: #0000ff" face="Arial" color="#0000ff" size="2"><a href="http://ci.davidson.nc.us/" target="_blank"><u>Davidson Home Page</u></a></font> </p><p>&nbsp;</p><hr size="1" /><p><font style="color: #000000" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" color="#000000" size="2"><strong><font size="3">Huntersville</font></strong> <br />Huntersville is the fast growing Lake Norman community.
